Wrong venue
When it comes to the weddings I usually arrive with plenty of time ahead. It helps me to scout the place find some new ideas and just shoot without any pressure along the day. This time being early saved my work indeed! Evening before this day I looked at some contracts and I found the Brooklodge Hotel near Aughrim Co Wicklow seem to be a very popular place for my couples. Being really tired that day I didn’t think much anymore and just packed the gear and went to sleep. Next morning, had breakfast and just headed to Brooklodge (auto – pilot). Once Im there I made a call with a bridesmaid to confirm I’m there and get details where and when to come, I just sat down in the lounge and enjoyed my coffee 🙂 Got another call that I can come over and here is the funny part 🙂 Went to the reception to find where is the brides room, they say there is no such a number, next thing they say they don’t have any wedding planned for the day!!!!!!!!! I almost freaked out! 😀 Frantically trying to get info on my phone where the wedding is while the reception in that place is very very poor… and it came up that I was supposed to be in Naas!!! 🙂 Driving through the mountains, blindly following my google maps, after an hour I made it and still pulled all the work! 🙂
Two lessons, always focus only on a recent event and keep being early as much as possible. Just in case 😉
