1st anniversary
Today there will be no photos in my post. Last year around this time I received my first ever DSLR camera and my photography adventure has begun. I wasn’t quite sure if this was the right way to pass a plenty of free time that I unfortunately still have but I had to do something aboutit and I went for it. It quickly change to still growing passion and every day I try to learn something new about photography and post processing the photographs.
Then I decided to run my blog where I could display my work and try to learn new things from other bloggers who share a similar interest. The year passed really fast and now I wonder how the next year will turn out….
So far I published over 130 posts with various photographs. I got over 53 thousands hits on my blog and loads of comments. There are 533 people following my work at the moment 🙂 In July my blog was distinguished on Freshly Pressed, some of my work was published inZIN Multimedia Cultural Magazine in Poland. One of my portraits became a photo of the day on plphoto.com. I won 1st and 2nd prize in Landscape photography in competition organized by our Wicklow County Council. My work was published in news papers and recently one of my photographs was also published in Irish Mountain Log Magazine. The story Barbed Wire, including photos, was published in our local Wicklow Times news paper. Also was nominated to many blogger awards and I’d like to say sorry for not fulfilling the requirements afterwards but I’m very often restricted with time, hence had to neglect it

Thanks for the mention but it really wasn’t necessary! I’m amazed at what you’ve accomplished in one year… I feel like crap now as I’ve been doing this for 4 years and don’t have 1/10th of your accomplishment 😦 hahahaha
In all honesty, I’m happy for you… you deserve it as your images are really top notch. High quality content is what generates an audience, its that simple.

Hey, thanks for stepping by. My first DSLR was and still is Nikon D300, really good piece of gear. I know they now do improved version of it D300s 😉
