My home town, like it not used to be…
I left my home town for collage in 2000 year. After that I visited the place exceptionally rarely. In last five years I have visited it two times… ? Luckily I could be there last week where I went for a photo walk…
There are many changes made, thanks god for better I hope. EU supported the town financially and many improvements have been made.ย Oh boy, how much I wanted to be a little boy and live there again… to have these all opportunities to enjoy playing basketball, or football, or any other gameย on a shiny brand new court, pitch, whatever else is there. Yes I do wish to have these back then…
Shockingly what I also found, there are many places that people have forgotten about or maybe the financial support have not reached everyone who need it too. Many old obscured buildings are mingling between “the pretty ones” scaring away the visitor…
I remember that when I was living there most of these places were in use or at least kept in a good shape, and what happened to them now??? Why people do not look after them anymore, I asked myself. Is it because there is no need for them anymore or is it because the EU helps only the chosen ones?? It is hard to tell actually but in my opinion the town is loosing its charm by not looking after these places…
SAD !!!!ย ๐ฆ
very nostalgic images! So strange how things change! Beautiful photography
Gdzie mieszkaลeล w Polsce?
Zachodnio pomorskie – Pelczyce ๐ a Ty??
Sad that these beautiful buildings are in such disarray. Your images are wonderful though reflecting both the beauty and neglect.
Thank you for your visit and comment ๐
Great photos with B&W treatment… sad story though.
How sad buildings look when none takes care of them… great shots!
Takie miejsca zatrzymujฤ ,opowiadajฤ swojฤ historie.
Niezwykลe prace…..poruszajฤ cy widok….
Dziekuje Aniu ๐

Zrobiลeล to tak, ลผe… brak sลรณw. Mam mieszane uczucia, jednak nie moลผna nie zauwaลผyฤ artyzmu w tym co robisz..
zdjฤcia sฤ przejmujฤ ce, do tego w tonach czarno biaลych… ลwietna robota.
Co do “tych miejsc” to nie jest tak,ลผe UE im nie pomaga. Te miejsca czasami nie wiedzฤ , ลผe mogฤ ย staraฤย siฤ o jakiekolwiek dotacje, bo te informacje przechodzฤ najpierw przez wysokie szczeble i ludzie tam siedzฤ cy informujฤ ย swoich znajomych, ลผe majฤ ย takie i takie dotacje, o ktรณre Ci znajomi mogฤ siฤ staraฤ. Dopiero potem informacje te sฤ udostฤpniane publicznie. Duลผo z tych dotacji idzie teลผ do prywatnych kieszeni.
To samo jest w moim rodzinnym mieลcie.

Amazing shots. Really nicely processed too.
Very nicely documented..
You did a great job capturing these buildings in B&W. That’s not always the easiest to do. They look really nice!
Thank you ๐
Hey,
I like the fourth photo of the disused clothing shop most. The empty silhouette of the human form is very emotive. It really sums up life coming to an end. I’m glad you chose B+W as I don’t think colour would have worked, too distracting!
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment. I also think that pictures like that can’t be done any other way but B&W ๐ Thanx again for visiting my blog ๐
Evocative images made more powerful in b&w. Sad and emotive…
czy smutne..dla mnie raczej rzeczywiste , z duszฤ …
